Principal Accountabilities
- Completing pre-operation and work alongside USDA
- Monitoring of product temperature, weight checks, seal checks, label verification and packaging
- HACCP monitoring of all products
- Performing sensory evaluations of product such as Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) testing which may include smelling and visual inspections
- Preventative maintenance on FSQR equipment
- May teach, train, or coach others on work activities, methods and procedures
- Ensuring all stakeholders follow GMPs, good housekeeping and maintain plant policies, a safe working environment, and be a champion of personal food safety
- Maintaining a safe working environment
- Champion of personal safety and food safety
- Standing for long periods of time, the use of stairs and ladders, and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas of the facility
- Perform pre-operational inspections
- Audit product and processes for specification compliance including sampling and testing product as required
- Sample and test product as required
- Perform operational SSOP, HACCP and SOPs audits as required
- Support Production as a specification resource
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations
- Basic use of a computer
- Basic math skills
- Must be able to complete quality forms, HACCP forms, SSOPs and other forms as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing or other high paced environments
- Previous food safety or quality experience
