Company Description: CAP Fleet is a company specializing in vehicle modifications and is currently looking for a QC Technician and process designer to uphold stringent quality and safety standards within the automotive industry.
**Responsibilities: **
- Conduct thorough inspections of completed vehicles and automotive components to detect defects, imperfections, or deviations from quality standards.
- Perform visual assessments for both cosmetic and functional aspects, ensuring strict adherence to quality guidelines.
- Employ tools, equipment, and computer systems for quality control tests, including measuring devices, diagnostic equipment, and software.
- Accurately record and document all inspection results.
- Collaborate with team members and departments to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Aid in the development and maintenance of quality control processes and procedures.
- Identify the root causes of quality issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations and guidelines.
- Contribute to the training of new team members in quality control procedures.
- Participate in Quality Metrics to enhance Quality capabilities.
**Requirements: **
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a QC Technician and process designer, preferably in the upfitter industry.
- Profound knowledge of automotive quality control standards and procedures.
- Familiarity with automotive components, systems, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using measurement and testing tools and equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with quality control software and MS Office applications.
- Ability to adapt to changes in priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as necessary.
- Valid driver's license.
**Preferred Qualifications: **
- Certification in automotive quality control or related field.
- Previous experience working with both mechanical and automotive electronic sub-systems.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 quality management systems.
**Additional Requirements: **
- Demonstrated experience in quality control process creation and implementation, including the establishment of automotive quality metrics.
- Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes, with experience in tracking metrics such as averages, rolling averages, and creating trend lines.
- Experience in developing quality feedback loops and providing training to team members on quality control procedures.
