ViTalent is currently seeking a 1st Shift Quality Control Technician – Incoming Inspection to support routine inspection of incoming raw materials for a key life sciences client. Experience working in a cGMP environment in medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing or other highly regulated industries is required. This is an immediate opportunity.
The Quality Control Technician, Incoming Inspection is responsible for routine inspection of raw materials, documenting results according to procedures, and coordinating disposition of non-conforming materials.

The Quality Control Technician, Incoming Inspection is responsible for routine inspection of raw materials, documenting results according to procedures, and coordinating disposition of non-conforming materials.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- ROUTINE TESTING
- Timely execution of routine tests based on approved procedures.
- Documentation of results according to established standards.
- Inventory management of inspection samples within company ERP/WMS software
- Support warehouse associates and warehouse leadership on management of non-conforming raw materials and in-process components.
- Verify calibration status of equipment and perform basic troubleshooting when required
RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
- Interacts regularly and effectively communicates with the key internal leaders and team as well as relevant stakeholders aimed at building level of awareness on quality vision supporting them in facing quality issues.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS OF JOB
- SAFETY

- PPE such as Safety glasses, safety shows, hearing protection, and gowning required in designated areas.
- Tasks may include standing, walking, bending, and sitting.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant training on use of IT tools (i.e. LIMS, Microsoft Office, Teams, LN ERP, and other company applications)
- Process controls, Calibration
- Ability to receive, understand, and complete internal cosmetic and dimensional training program on glass inspection, looking for and measuring common defects:
- Must have 20/20 vision, with or without correction
- Must have full color vision, with or without correction
- Annual vision test required
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Job is located onsite with periodic flexibility such that business needs are met
- Professional offices
- Work may be required in an ISO 7 or 8 clean room environment.
- Glass forming, needle assembly, and packaging facilities
- Warehouse areas
- Off-shift support may be required periodically to meet business needs
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of two (2) years routine quality control testing experience using a variety of common inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers and other similar gauges.
- Experience and knowledge of working within ERP or WMS systems
- SKILLS
- Risk based thinking approach
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting of complex analytical instrumentation
- TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Functional knowledge of device manufacturing Quality Management Systems processes and features
- Basic awareness in root cause analysis methodologies, techniques, tools and applications
