Job Summary
Would you like to apply your skills in an innovative production facility? If so, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Technician! This position will be based out of our Extrusion plant located in Walla Walla, WA. Reporting to Shift Supervisor, our Quality Control Technician will be responsible for the inspection of all products manufactured in all departments and operate all related testing equipment. These activities are to be conducted while ensuring and maximizing safety, product quality, production output, housekeeping, and cost control to achieve plant goals.
Position Offers
- Pay: $23.50 per hour
- The position is a Full-Time, Permanent Position with Comprehensive Benefits
- 8 paid holidays every calendar year
- Plant annual bonus program
- Work schedule: Rotating 12 hour shift; 7pm - 7am
Requirements
- Able to read, generate, submit, print, or communicate different records and reports including test results, measurement results, FSA approval/non-approval, Non-Conformance Report (NCR), and parts standards.
- General knowledge of all QC tagging procedures, documents for inspection and testing.
- Accurately use hand-held measuring equipment such as micrometers, pi-tapes, CMM, gages and tape measures per work instruction/training.
- Perform all specialized testing and inspection such as but may not be limited to burst testing, impact testing, cement fitting testing or similar per instruction/training. Compliance of all special testing to the Quality Manual.
- Operate color meter, moisture analyzer or similar per instruction/training.
- In conjunction with or under the direction of the department manager, suggest and develop improvements to test procedures and equipment to improve department efficiency.
- Assist all third-party agencies during audits.
- Maintain accurate and legible records.
Requirements
- High School diploma or certificate of completion is preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Must be eager to learn, self-motivated to work independently and have good computer, written and verbal communication skills
- Manufacturing Quality Assurance a plus!
- Successful candidate must complete a background check and drug screening.
Working Conditions
- Requires a high degree of mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, reaching, twisting, bending, climbing, and lifting to 50-75 lbs.
- Fast-paced environment where a considerable amount of sensory attention is required.
- Personal safety is affected by exposure to heat or cold, dust, noise levels and the use of sharp tools.
