Job Summary:
We are seeking a Quality Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality before they are shipped to our customers. As a Quality Coordinator, you will be responsible for conducting inspections, documenting findings, and making recommendations for improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure that they meet our quality standards
Lead the development of quality systems for any existing products, new products, and/or technologies to ensure that the product meets customer needs (including, but not limited to incoming material inspection/testing, finished product inspection/testing, measuring gauge management/calibration/maintenance, nonconforming product control, containment/hold process, root cause and corrective action process, etc.)
Promote companywide customer centric mindset, including leading initiatives to engage and update decision makers
Participate in, maintain, and improve procedures that support quality system requirements
Prepare and make presentations to customers, employees, and all levels of the management team
Understand the customer’s needs and translate them into a proactive support strategy
Create research plans to investigate and address emerging customer themes, pain points, and opportunities, developing insights and implications from the research, and sharing those key findings across the organization
Uncover actionable insights to improve customer experience, increase efficiency and effectiveness
Serve as escalation point for customers with technical issues to ensure they are resolved quickly
Communicate directly with customers via phone, email, conference call, or site visit
Liaise and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure best quality and act as "customer advocate" to address customer issues
Initiate, lead and track progress of customer and internal corrective and preventative actions, participate on teams and assist with action as required
Administer all internal and external communications as they pertain to defect definition, root cause, and resolution action plan
Implement Statistical Process Control
Responsible for establishing and implementing procedures (new and existing) for monitoring and testing quality, train all impacted employees to these procedures
Use statistical tools to analyze data , drive improvements, reduce variation and tighten processes
Identify and study critical process parameters with the goal of improving consistency, reducing scrap, and increasing throughput
Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, and corrective actions
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
1-2 years of experience in a quality assurance role preferred, but not required
Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and document quality issues
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Working Conditions:
The Quality Coordinator will work in a manufacturing environment that may require standing, walking, and bending for extended periods of time. The coordinator may also be exposed to loud noises, dust, and fumes from the manufacturing process. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and required to be worn in designated areas. The coordinator may be required to work flexible hours or overtime as needed to support production and quality objectives.

The Quality Coordinator must be able to perform the following physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation:
Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time
Lift up to 50 pounds
Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls
Visually inspect products and read technical drawings and specifications

Direct Reports:
The Quality Coordinator does not have any direct reports. However, the coordinator will work closely with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues. The coordinator may also be required to provide guidance and training to other employees on quality control processes and procedures.
