About the Job
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Coordinates activities of the appropriate Laboratory section including responsibility for problem solving, systems control, equipment maintenance, writing and updating procedure manuals, and inventory/ordering supplies.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under general supervision, follows established company policies and procedures and applies acquired job skills to follow outlined procedures to complete blood validation and verification testing in and In-Vitro environment.
- Ensure medical instruments are functional, calibrated and operating properly.
- Collect data on units under test and reference units per the policies and procedures.
- Ensure the policies and procedures are accurate and effective based on current device requirements. Oversee revision changes as required.
- Validate procedures as assigned.
- Ensure materials and supplies are adequate to complete production operations.
- Schedule and ensure that blood is available without expiration for blood lab operations.
- Ensure the blood lab is clean and minimize bio-hazards through normal safety practices.
- Chair of the Calibration Committee to review the Blood Lab calibration status as well as correlations to outside measurement standards.
- Conduct special experiments to forward the Crit-Line technology and improve dialysis standard of care.
- Adheres to policies regarding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure others are appropriately safe during blood lab visits or experiments.
- Escalates issues to supervisor for resolution, as deemed necessary.
- Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
- Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree desirable; and Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 1 - 2 years' related experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be well organized, detail-oriented with the ability to work with various departments in a professional manner.
- In-depth knowledge of blood treatment practices and data collection.
- Excellent communication with management, peers and facility personnel.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
