Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages PPAP processes including tracking open/ closed status, responsibility for compiling information, assessment of documentation, submittal to Customer and internal communication when Customer approval has been obtained.
- Guides lay-out inspections for PPAP and FAI documentation.
- Participates in various cross functional team meetings such as new product launches, continuous improvement projects, process FMEA reviews and corrective actions, etc.
- Create and Maintains QMS Document Control system including control of Document Master Log and document release of new/ modified documents.
- Prepares quality data including collection and analysis of data for quality reports, process capability studies and root cause analysis, etc.
- Active contributor in quality related activities and can lead team meetings and teams focused on root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Works with Operations and Production to develop and improve work instructions and quality documentation.
- Performs internal QMS audits and maintains active auditor status.
- Assists in various process audits such LPAs, etc.
- Assists in training manufacturing associates, quality inspectors and technicians as needed.
- Generates and posts Quality Alerts.
- Participate in customer, regulatory agency, and annual recertification process.
- Initiate and close corrective actions
- Provides status report on progress and concerns related to inspection activities, nonconforming items, and/or other items related to the quality of the process, material, or product.
- Leads and implements various product and process improvement methodologies.
- Lead teams in the improvement efforts of reducing DPPM or scrap cost internally and externally.
- Reviews and works corrective actions, looking for problem trends. Quarantines or segregates affected finished goods or raw materials as warranted. Regularly communicates internally, as well as externally with customers, suppliers and other relevant parties on status of corrective actions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Required Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field with minimum of 5 years of quality experience or equivalent.
- CMM programming experience
- Overall metrology experience
- Process improvement experience
- Experience in team-oriented problem solving, 8D, 5-Why, other.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- The employee is occasionally required to walk and lift up to 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- In compliance with OSHA standards, it has been determined that safety glasses and safety footwear are required on the plant floor.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization in person, on the phone, and in writing
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- ERP/MRP experience
- Internet based software
- MS Office
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- Working environment is in an air-conditioned office/lab with physically going into a non-air- conditioned manufacturing/warehouse setting where the employee may be exposed to dust, odors, oils, cleaning solvents, lubricants, or noise
