Quality Engineer - Expert Connections

Our client is a Tier 1 automotive supplier, specializing in providing exterior components to major OEMs.

They are seeking aQuality Engineerfor their plant inUpstate, SC.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a quality-related role within automotive manufacturing, with a strong focus on direct customer interactions.

Tasks: 

• Develop Control Plans (PQCT), FMEAs, and process flows.

• Prepare and implement part validation and test plans, including PPAP protocols.

• Work closely with customers and program management to ensure quality standards are met.

• Supervise the implementation of planned quality activities, including documentation and testing.

• Conduct audits, participate in run-at-rate evaluations, and manage PPAP submissions.

• Act on discrepancies, coordinating with production and updating relevant documentation.

• Assist in operator and inspector training, as well as the development of work instructions.

• Promote teamwork and ensure a clean, safe working environment.

Requirements: 

• 3+ years within automotive manufacturing, quality related area.

• Paint experience is a plus.

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

• Experience with AIAG Core Tools, SPC, MSA, APQP, FMEA, and Control Plans.

• Familiarity with GD&T and experience using Romer 3D Laser Scanner.

• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO/TS 16949 standards.

• Knowledge of IATF

• Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Basic proficiency in Excel, Word, and Access.

• Ability to train others and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
