Lithos Energy designs and builds advanced lithium-ion battery packs from the ground up for use in high-performance automotive, marine and aerospace applications. Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Quality Engineer to take on full product lifecycle responsibilities in a dynamic, hands-on role. As part of the Quality Engineering team, you will work closely with customers, suppliers, and leading experts in transportation electrification. You'll play a key role in solving a range of electromechanical challenges with new and existing Lithos products. You will have a positive impact on our manufacturing environment, ensuring high standards in product quality and reliability are always achieved. As one of the first quality engineers, you will play a significant role in the continuous development and improvement of Lithos Quality Management System in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the execution and continuous improvement of the Lithos Quality Management System (QMS).
- Triage, organize, and prioritize issues using Jira and Confluence to manage and create dashboards.
- Act as the subject matter expert and champion for data-driven problem-solving management.
- Collaborate with technicians and engineers to resolve product, process, and procedural gaps.
- Communicate issues with incoming materials to vendors, ensuring timely and appropriate corrective actions.
- Lead problem-solving initiatives and participate in DFMEA, DFM, and PFMEA activities, implementing lessons learned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred).
- 0-5 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated excellence in professional or academic pursuits.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing quality control, including:
- Material Review Board (MRB), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and non-conformance management
- Familiarity with leak testing, electrical testing, welding, and wire bonding.
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation across multiple sources.
- Knowledge of GD&T, drawing interpretation, and basic metrology techniques, with:
- Ability to perform manual measurements (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical inspection, etc.).
- CMM experience a plus.
- Experience implementing, maintaining, or auditing standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949 a plus).
- Vendor management experience in technologies such as coatings, castings, PCBAs, sheet metal, and wire harnesses.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, SolidWorks, MES, and NetSuite.
Salary - 90-135k + Equity + Benefits - Dependent on experience
