EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Quality Engineering or other manufacturing or technical field, as well as a minimum of two years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification desired. Knowledge of quality systems and technical skills in process quality engineering, certification in Quality Engineering and computer literacy in Microsoft Windows and Office Applications is essential. Experience with CMM programming and advanced metrology a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as specifications, blueprints, computer programs, process control sheets, routings, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization and maintain positive employee/employer relations. Ability to respond to technical inquiries, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts of algebra, geometry, and advanced shop mathematics. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Requires considerable initiative and decision-making judgment.
