Senior Quality Engineer
Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Quality Engineer to play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing their Quality Management System. Key Responsibilities:
- Validate quality processes by establishing product specifications and defining quality attributes.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive quality documentation and reports, analyzing data from failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
- Conduct routine analyses of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure they meet established specifications.
- Document quality issues and performance measures for management review, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
- Participate in the development of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential risks and implement effective solutions.
- Update manufacturing process flow documentation and work instructions to reflect current practices.
- Conduct end-of-line audits focusing on product and process parameters to ensure quality standards are upheld.
- Collect and analyze data to support QA engineers, product engineering, and manufacturing teams, including handling information from distribution and warehouse operations.
- Assist the Quality Control Manager by providing data and insights during Quality Tier 3 and production daily meetings, facilitating the escalation and resolution of issues.
- Provide training and daily direction to quality technicians to ensure consistent adherence to quality protocols.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality environment, with a proven track record of timely and cost-effective resolution of quality issues.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO systems, Gage R&R, capability analysis, Wiebull, 8D, 3x5 Why, Ishikawa/Fishbone, and other quality tools.
- Preferred: Understanding of GD&T, ERP, QMS, and experience with Minitab software.
- ASQ certification is a plus.
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
