Position Summary:Responsible for the overall quality of our manufactured products. Reduce DPPM and Scrap, effective RCCA and improved response time to customers through evaluation of warranty returns.
Essential Responsibilities:- Plans and administers activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality assurance program by performing the following duties.
- Promptly and effectively communicate with external and internal customers on matters concerning the quality of product or processes.
- Assists Quality Assurance Manager in developing and administration of the Quality Management System.
- Supports root-cause corrective action activities for assigned areas, with the ultimately goal to eliminate non-conformances and improve flow of product.
- As required, author supplier corrective action responses
- Performs assessment of returned product
- Performs internal product /quality audits to assure compliance with quality standards and design specifications.
- Performs data collection and analysis of product performance characteristics.
- Recommend and implement improvements and/or modifications to operation sequences, with the ultimately goal to reduce scrap and improve efficiency
- Assists senior Quality Engineers with completing assigned tasks
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality or related technical focus with 1-3 years of experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in quality assurance with an emphasis in root cause analysis, defect prevention.
- Experience working with quality management system certified to AS9100, ISO9001 preferred.
- Working knowledge and experience in Quality Systems, Quality Auditing, Product and Process Design, Product and Process Control, Continuous Improvement and Quantitative methods are a plus.
- Six Sigma Black/Green belt certification or other quality related certifications a plus.
