Our client, a global leader in the Automotive Industry, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of quality standards are met and maintained across all products and processes. Responsibilities:
- Utilize statistical and problem-solving tools (8D, 5Y, Fishbone, etc.) to analyze and resolve quality issues.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions in response to non-conformances.
- Analyze SPC data to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
- Create and maintain error-proofing/mistake-proofing methods in production cells.
- Participate in APQP team activities, including IMDS submissions, Control Plans, PFMEA, and Process Flow Charts.
- Oversee the management and implementation of new processes related to new product launches.
- Collaborate on plant continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiency.
- Engage with customers and participate in quality reporting, management reviews, and meetings.
- Recommend process improvements based on data analysis and quality assessments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of quality engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in process engineering.
- Strong familiarity with lean manufacturing and process flow.
- Ability to meet deadlines consistently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, non-verbal, negotiation, and written communication.
- Professional demeanor when interacting with internal teams and external customers.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
Preference:
- Automotive manufacturing experience is a significant plus.
- Experience with ISO-16949 and ISO-9001 standards.
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
