We are currently seeking a Quality Engineer with the below qualifications:
Professional Attributes
- Responsible to manage the internal and external CAPA/CARs from end to end, assuring correct implementation and putting together team members required to implement the corrective actions. Monitor the effectiveness of the current and past corrective actions implemented and promote improvements as required.
- Conduct Root Cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address non conformances detected internally or by the Customer and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve, develop and maintain quality documentation (QMS) to warranty good quality of all product run/shipped (zero defects to customers)
- Become an SME for the quality procedures assigned for the role.
- Increment Overall Customer Satisfaction by keeping a high level of responsiveness & effectiveness in promises to customers.
- Collaborate with, metrologist to develop and improve inspection methods and plans for legacy and new products.
- Assist in the development and execution of validation structure/programs, protocols and procedures.
- Maintain an attitude of Continuous Improvement. Make suggestions for improvements
- Keep 5s as department always.
- Ensures quality requirements are met by interacting with Production and Engineering, to provide a systematic approach for identification of customer requirements and resolution of current or potential quality issues.
- Perform statistical analysis and trending of quality data to identify improvement opportunities and monitor the effectiveness of quality initiatives.
- Assist the team to improve inspection methods by using GD&T fundamentals.
- Assist in the management of new product launches and APQP processes.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
- Extensive knowledge of measurement systems, blueprints and GD&T applications
- 5-8 years of experience in Failure Analysis and Customer Communication
- 5-8 years of quality engineering experience in a plastics manufacturing Medical Device industry, preferred
- Experience in statistical applications and data analysis is a must (Minitab)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and organizational abilities
- Ability to promote a Team atmosphere and to complete tasks on time
- Ability and knowledge to operate all inspection equipment in the department is a plus
- Certified CQE, a plus
- Advanced degree is a plus
- Six Sigma Green belt certification, desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
