Recipe For Success:
- Provides leadership to the Sanitation Department through the training, coaching and mentoring of front-line Sanitors, driving a culture of safety, inclusion, engagement and accountability.
- Under the direction of the Quality Food Safety Manager, assists in maintaining audit-ready compliance to all internal and external Quality Food Safety policies.
- Manages the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and ensures that equipment is cleaned on-time and according to HACCP and SQF standards.
- Orders department chemicals, tools and supplies.
- Performs pre-op inspections including visual inspection and swabbing.
- Performs environmental testing and documentation.
- Coordinates and facilitates new-hire GMP/HACCP training as-needed.
- Participates in third-party audits including SQF (Safe Quality Foods) and AIB (American Institute of Baking).
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related scientific major preferred. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
- HACCP and PCQI certifications strongly preferred.
- 2-3 years of Quality / Food Safety / Sanitation supervision experience in a commercial food production environment.
- Leadership skills with a focus on associate development and accountability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work within cross-functional teams.
- Computer proficiency including MS Office products.
