About the Job
To assist in the monitoring and auditing of all aspects of food safety and quality for the areas designated in the operation and to ensure implementation and compliance with all USDA regulations and any applicable pre-requisite programs to support these including BRC Programs.
- Monitoring of CCP’s as directed by the supervision.
- Monitoring of Sanitary Dressing procedures are being followed by plant personnel.
- Performing pre-op inspections as required.
- Monitoring of the SRM program to ensure it is being followed.
- Auditing GMP practices as required
- Communicate with USDA floor personnel in the Harvest area.
- Assist QA Director and Supervisor as required.
- Pulling of Microbiological samples as needed.
- Cover other QA Tech positions as needed.
- All other responsibilities as identified by plant ownership.
- Experience in QA – Food Safety in USDA Slaughter facility or Meat processing operations is preferred but not required
- HACCP Knowledge is preferred but not required
- Able to work all required shifts.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. or greater
