Job DescriptionThe primary purpose of the position is inspecting materials and products, and following documented ISO processes and procedures for meeting customer specific requirements. To comply with all necessary regulatory, quality system and business requirements as based on ISO 13485 and FDA requirements for medical device and Food manufacturing. Reporting to the site Quality Supervisor, the person will need to work closely with the Account Teams, Quality Engineers, Materials Department and any other groups as necessary.

The position serves as a resource helping to ensure that the medical device and other regulated operations function within regulatory and relevant standards requirements. This position also ensures all customer requirements are met and that the final product meets all customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Complete hands-on inspection of product for defects, damage, and imperfections
- Gather relevant data and effectively communicate with cross-functional team when a quality issue arises to resolve them in a timely manner, in compliance with customer processes
- Follow all documented processes and procedures
- Timely and accurately complete required documentation and paperwork
- Complete customer specific Quality questions in Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
- Maintain accurate and thorough record keeping
- Ensure quality requirements meet or exceed customer requirements
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives and processes
- Cross-train in any departmental quality areas as needed
- Comply with all facility safety and work rules; including, but not limited to security requirements, proper procedures for accident/incident reporting, emergency evacuation, etc.
- Represent RR Donnelley Supply Chain & Packaging Solutions in a professional manner
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times, twist/ bend, stand for the whole shift.
Duties which may be performed as need arises include:
- Special projects as assigned
- Perform and maintain departmental 5S procedures
- Follow ISO procedures, participate in ISO audits and training
- Work in other departments as deemed necessary to meet business needs
Hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. The work environment is clean, welcoming, and climate controlled.
Qualifications- Must have the ability to communicate and work well with others at all levels of the organization, with customers and with auditors effectively and professionally. Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- May require knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn specialized software related to the position.
- Able to understand general business concepts and apply them when communicating with diverse groups of people when completing work assignments.

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $15.66 to $17.00 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
