VadaTech is a world leader in the design and manufacture of embedded computing solutions. Due to growth, we are seeking experience Quality Assurance Inspectors for Receiving CMM. This role inspects hardware installation on the boards for shipment. This quality role is responsible for receiving inspection and CMM programming for conformance to applicable specifications. Receiving inspector provides advanced mechanical inspection and raw PCB’s using precision calibrated tools; must have a working knowledge of CMM inspection and programming; interpret inspection report data as it relates to manufacturing requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Program or calibrate the coordinate measuring machine (CMM)
- Utilizing various inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, checks dimensions/processes on parts or raw material to ensure compliance to manufacturing drawings/blueprints/specifications
- Perform maintenance as necessary
- Works closely with Compliance Manager, Quality Inspectors, Quality Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure that all manufacturing and inspection activities are performed in compliance with process work documents
- Assists with preparation of corrective action requests, and preventive action requests (machine maintenance, etc.) as related to production work to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures and work instructions
- Insures that in-process inspections are completed per engineering specifications during the production process
- Responsible for filing travelers when job is complete.
- Perform and maintain 5s in the immediate work area.
Requirements
- IPC-A-610 experience with J-STD-001 is required.
- Minimum three (3) years of CMM programming and electronics inspection experience in manufacturing environment. Other machine experience will be considered.
- Able to use inspection tools i.e. micrometer, microscope, calipers, pin gages.
- Read blueprints and interpret GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) symbols.
- Proficient use of PC for data entry and maintaining inspection records.
- Functional knowledge of IPC-A-610, familiarity with J-STD-001 and the following:
1. Printed circuit board inspection to IPC-A-610 1,2,3.
2. Electronic component identification and verification.
- Knowledge and Understanding of ESD procedures.
- Knowledge and Understanding on ISO9001 and AS9100
- Reading and understanding of electronic configuration drawings, schematics, product datasheets and written work instructions.
- Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace.
- Fluent domain of the English language: ability to read, write and speak English well.
- Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.

- Ability to handle and lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs. alone; ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. in a two-person lift.
