Quality Inspector - Standard - Rittal LLC

Primary Activities/Duties:

• Conduct final inspection and in-process inspections on manufactured and finished good products.
• Ensure all required check sheets are being used and filled out correctly.
• Perform “first article inspection” on new or changed jobs to ensure that they are being performed in a proper manner and to the requirements of the Article Text and drawings.
• Prevent non-conforming product from leaving area until corrected.
• Ensure product shipping meets packaging requirements.
• Assist warehouse associates with product quality questions/inspections.
• Provide immediate feedback to operators and supervisors of any defects found.
• Feedback to include education on blueprint reading and proper use of measuring gages.
• Provide daily feedback to Quality Engineers on areas of concern and types of defects being found.
• Provide daily feedback to Quality Manager on daily failure rate.

Physical Requirements:

• Stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the work shift.
• The ability to lift 25 – 50 pounds to waist level and up to 25 pounds above the shoulders.
• Work at a computer and keyboard occasionally throughout shift.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Have high school diploma or GED.
• Advanced blueprint reading and hand-held gages & measuring equipment experience.
• Must also be computer literate with a working knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Inspection experience preferred.
