Job Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our quality assurance team. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for inspecting products, materials, and components to ensure they meet specified quality standards and are free from defects. This role requires the ability to use precision measurement tools, analyze product specifications, and work closely with production teams to ensure high standards of quality are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM machines to assess product dimensions and tolerances.
- Review technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to verify that products meet required specifications.
- Document inspection results, report non-conformance issues, and track quality metrics.
- Identify defects or deviations from quality standards and work with production teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Conduct sampling inspections of products and materials at various stages of the production process.
- Perform first-article inspections and final product inspections before shipment to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures, work instructions, and corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to recommend process improvements that can reduce defects and improve product quality.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements during inspections and quality checks.
- Maintain an organized and clean inspection area, ensuring tools and equipment are calibrated and in proper working order.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in quality control or a related field is a plus.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in quality control or quality inspection, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality control processes, standards, and inspection techniques.
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and industry standards.
- Ability to follow established safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in quality inspection (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector).
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of 5S or Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) or specialized inspection techniques (e.g., visual, ultrasonic, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or quality management software.
Pay Details: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour
