responsibilities:
- Analytical & physical lab testing: HPLC, titrimeter, colorimeter, density, viscosity, etc.
- Conducting GMP and Process Audits in the production and storage areas of the plant
- Perform data entry into the various Quality System databases
- Responsible for reporting monthly summaries of Quality system functions
- Present training in Quality subjects to new and existing employees
- Review on-line HACCP and MCP log sheets to assure compliance with company policies
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends
- Support Analytical and Quality Assurance program
- Support routine maintenance and troubleshooting of lab equipment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- This position requires a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- A proven ability to manage multiple projects while performing everyday tasks is essential
- Candidates must possess a strong commitment to Quality and Customer Service
ADDITIONAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCES
- Previous lab or food safety/quality department experience
- Experience in a food plant in the areas of manufacturing, sanitation, or quality assurance
- A proven work record of attendance and performance
- Ability to learn and execute physical and chemical analyses required for this position
- Ability to compile, retrieve data, and report results on GMI standard data collection systems and Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook
skills: Quality control, HPLC, MS-WORD, MS-EXCEL, MS-Powerpoint, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
