Salary: $90k+, but will be evaluated depending on candidates’ knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Essential Job Functions/Duties:

• Design and Innovate: Establish and refine processes that ensure effective internal auditing, process control, and change management—transforming challenges into opportunities for improvement.
• Lead with Insight: Report on the performance of our business management system, pinpointing areas for growth and inspiring top management with your findings.

• Integrity Champion: Safeguard the integrity of our management system through every process and product change, ensuring smooth transitions and sustained quality.
• Standards Setter: Develop and enforce robust policies and procedures that comply with internal and external quality standards (AS9100, ISO17025, Nadcap), making quality a core value of our organization.
• Empower and Train: Facilitate and develop training and certification programs for our employees, empowering them with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in quality assurance.
• Collaborative Partner: Work closely with key customers on quality issues and audits, building strong relationships and ensuring our products exceed their expectations.
• Inspire Leadership: Provide guidance and support to the Quality and Laboratory departments, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and collaboration.

Key Relationships & Leadership:

• Reports to: General Manager/VP
• Direct reports: Lead a talented team, including the Laboratory Manager/Supervisor, Quality engineer technician, and Quality Control Engineers, guiding them towards excellence in their roles.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree with 5-10 years of manufacturing quality leadership experience, or an associate’s degree with 10-15 years of experience. We’re open to creative combinations of education and experience.
• Certifications: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green Belt (SSGB), or Six Sigma Black Belt (SSBB) are great, but not required.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • A solid grasp of management and quality systems.
  • Ability to read and understand safety rules, customer specs, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • A self-starter who sees what needs to be done and jumps in with both feet.
  • A knack for problem-solving and a calm demeanor, even in tricky situations.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and quality techniques will put you ahead of the game.
