We are looking for a responsible Quality Assurance Manager to take ownership of the quality of all incoming and outgoing material and products as well as production procedures. You will be a firm advocate of quality in our business. The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. In-depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards are essential. The goal is to ensure that our products are made of flawless materials with well-functioning equipment. That way our customers will enjoy high-quality merchandise so that we can achieve long-term success.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure PLX products meet our exacting quality standards. Ensure process and procedures are consistently and diligently applied throughout PLX.
- Provide strong leadership and management and build your quality control team to meet the current and future needs of the business.
- Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes. Review and approve corrective actions.
- Responsible for maintaining PLX quality system including procedures, work instructions and checklists as well as ensuring it is implemented and followed by all staff.
- Ensure internal audits are carried out regularly and defects are addressed in a thorough and timely manner.
- Ensure customer issues and complaints relating to quality are investigated, reported and any corrective actions are carried out and monitored for success.
- understands and can train their staff on optical and mechanical metrology equipment used for inspection.
- Understands complex blueprints, GD&T and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies.
- Ensures First Article Inspections are carried out, recorded and customer reports are complete and accurate.
- Ensure records of testing, information, and various metrics such as the number of defective products per day etc are retained and well organized/accessible
- Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards.
- Maintain the calibration system.
- Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained and discard any that doesn’t meet the requirement.
- Prepare and submit reports to the Executive team.
- Environmental testing.
Requirements:
- Proven leadership skills and experience as a quality manager with a minimum of 10 years.
- ISO9001 quality system including managing audits and recertification.
- CMM expertise and ability to teach others in operation and programming
- A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
- Responsible and trustworthy.
- Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
- Microsoft office and computer literate.

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

- Quality assurance: 5 years (Required)
- ISO 9001: 5 years (Required)
