CARR Machine and Tool, Inc. is a 51 year old, 3rd generation, family owned and operated company. We are experiencing rapid growth and looking to add to our team of just under 20 members. We specialize in delivering precision machined components for the aerospace and defense industries. Our commitment to excellence, state-of-the-art machinery, and innovative approach has earned us AS9100D registration. We operate a paperless environment using Proshop ERP and have incorporated various automation technologies to enhance our manufacturing processes.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Manager is responsible for the Quality department as a whole. They are responsible for managing our QMS, ensuring we meet AS9100 standards, and leading our QC processes. They will be the main point of contact for quality related questions from our customers, suppliers, and employees. The Quality Manager plays a key part in ensuring the overall quality and compliance of the organization's products and processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the QMS to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Plan and execute internal, external, and supplier audits to evaluate adherence to all requirements.
- Hold complete authority over the Material Review Board process, making critical decisions on the disposition of non-conforming materials.
- Maintain the Approved Supplier List based on supplier performance and adherence to quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to Supplier Quality Requirements
- Initiate and oversee Corrective Action Requests and Preventive Action Requests to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Create and refine quality procedures/tasks to guide the organization in maintaining high-quality standards.
- Develop and implement internal inspection procedures.
- Oversee and manage complete gage calibration.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- ASQ certification
- 5 years minimum experience in QA/QC within machined components industry
- 3 years minimum in a direct leadership role
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements(AS9100D)
- Complete knowledge and understanding of GD&T
- Ability to program and run CMM
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
