Job Overview: As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining, directing, and evolving the companys Quality Management System (QMS). You will collaborate across departments to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, quality control strategies, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations. You will also serve as a key liaison for customers, regulatory agencies, and internal audits, while mentoring the team to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Oversee internal audits and ensure compliance with ISO, aerospace, and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Act as the company's quality representative, addressing concerns from customers, regulatory bodies, and external auditors.
- Coach, mentor, and train staff on QMS principles, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints, leading root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Manage the Process Change Request (PCR) process and maintain fixed processes.
- Ensure a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace, adhering to all regulatory and 6-S initiatives.
- Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives across departments.
- Prepare and present reports on quality metrics, system improvements, and audit outcomes.
- Serve as Facility Compliance Officer for Export Controls.
Recommended Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Material Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management, with a preference for experience in investment casting, medical device, or aerospace industries.
- Strong technical writing skills and working knowledge of document control and management systems.
- Proven problem-solving capabilities, project management skills, and technical aptitude.
- Effective communication skills across all organizational levels, with a focus on building cross-functional relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in leading quality teams within aerospace or medical device sectors.
- Familiarity with ITAR and EAR regulations.
- Expertise in process improvement methodologies and tools.
- Certification in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma).
