About the Role
The Quality Manager is responsible for implementing and upholding quality standards across all company operations. This role involves organizing documentation, monitoring quality control on the shop floor, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. By maintaining consistent processes and addressing quality concerns proactively, the Quality Manager helps reduce rework costs and supports timely product delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain quality standards, including creating, updating, and managing all related documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
- Ensure QC Inspectors focus on identifying and resolving shop floor issues while providing guidance and training to production staff on quality procedures.
- Work collaboratively with departments such as Engineering, Operations, and Customer Service to identify and address quality concerns.
- Oversee the quality reporting process, delivering monthly updates with analysis and recommendations for improvement.
- Continuously improve product quality by implementing design guides, conducting corrective action reviews, and refining standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Quality, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on quality control.
- At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role, managing quality-focused teams.
- Proven expertise in MS Office Suite and data analysis tools, with a solid understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to quality standards and process improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Quality certifications such as Six Sigma, ASQ, or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing industries related to transformers, power electronics, or similar fields.
- Previous audit experience with the ability to lead internal and external quality audits.
- Familiarity with change management processes like Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Notices (ECN).
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement training programs for QC staff on quality protocols and new procedures.
