About the Job
A. PRIMARY DUTIES: â— Serve as a member of the RMF Management Team as the Quality Management Systems (QMS) representative providing periodic updates on the effectiveness of the QMS as well as internal audit results (Management Review and 2nd/3rd Party Audits). â— Provide quality oversight to all facilities and ensure those customer requirements are known throughout the organization and that the systems and processes are in place to satisfy these requirements and the requirements of the IATF16949 and AS9100 standards. â— Establish the overall quality strategy and direction for the organization. â— "Quality" contact person to the customer base. â— Manage the Quality Group. â— Owner of the RMF Management System. â— Owner of the following QMS processes: "Control of Nonconforming Material" process including analysis and disposition of the internal and external nonconforming product. The "Improvement Action" process includes continual improvement, corrective action, and preventive action. "Control of Monitoring and Measuring Devices" process. "Document, Data Control, and Change Management Control" process. "Measurement Systems Analysis" process (Gage R&R, SPC and etc.) "In-Process and Final Inspection" process. "Validation of Processes for Production" process. "Internal Auditing" (Special Process, Product, Process, and Systems). "Cost of Quality" |
B. OTHER: (e.g. authorizations, authority to issue directives, information rights): 1. Train associates on work instructions, IATF Standard, and all related QMS requirements.2. Assist in implementing visual management system - Quality Cost Delivery Service 3. Validate error-proofing implementations. |

D. WORKPLACE REQUIREMENTS: (only those actually necessary for the position) 1. Practical working knowledge of the following standards: IATF16949, ISO 14001, AIAG Core Tools, CQI 11 and 12, and AS9100 standards 2. Practical working knowledge of quality tools |
E. KEY MEASURABLES: 1. Internal Quality (first pass yield and rework). 2. Customer Quality (plant returns). 3. Improvement Action System (8D Closure). 4. Internal Audit Results. 5. Cost of Quality. 6. IATF registration results. |
F. REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS: 1. Education/Certifications: â— 4-year technical degree (preferably ChE, ME, IE, QE, Industrial Technology, Metallurgy or Material Science) â— ASQ Certified QCT, CQE, CQA, CQM. â— Certified Auditor for VDA, IATF, AS9100. â— Successful completion of formal training regarding the IATF16949 and/or AS9100 standard. â— Successful graduation from the RMF Leadership Development Program. 2. Experience: â— Minimum 5 years in quality at Tier I or II automotive supplier or automotive OEM. â— Practical working knowledge of AIAG Core Tools experience (PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, APQP). â— Lean manufacturing experience. â— System, Process, Product, and Special Processes auditing experience (using AIAG CQI-11, CQI-12, and IATF 16949 standards). 3. Knowledge and skills: â— Proficiency with the use of continuous improvement tools and techniques. â— Proficiency with the application of the Ford TOPS 8D problem-solving methodology. â— Proficiency with the application of basic SPC. â— Proficiency with AIAG Process Documentation: Core Tools, CQI-11, and CQI-12. â— Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products Excel, Word, Access, Powerpoint, Visio, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides, and Google Sites. |
