Job Overview:
FXI is looking for a Quality Manager to join the FXI West ChicagoTeam! This positon will be responsible for managing, coordinating and administering all functions of the Quality Department to meet or exceed the Quality Management System Requirements (QMS), while serving as a resource to achieve the plant objectives of safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, customer service, and regulatory compliance while demonstrating continuous improvements.
Responsibilities:Leadership: Responsible for directing team of quality auditors on all shifts to include performance management, discipline, hiring/firing, etc.
Standard Work/SOPs/Work Instructions: Establishes and standardizes flow of information, processes, and procedures and helps troubleshoot and resolve issues. Develops and implements Best Practices across the network. Reviews and updates Quality documentation as needed. Performs and updates standard Quality documentation (Control Plans, PFEMAs, SIPOCs, Management Reviews).
Training: Trains, coaches and facilitates quality guidelines throughout facility
Running cells: Responsible for overseeing the testing lab for the West Chicago facility to ensure products meet ASTM standards. Develop and implement internal corrective plans for failed tests. Work as a liaison to the Product Development group for product samples, DOEs, and product roll outs.
Accountability: Responsible for validating customer returns due to quality and approval of credit issued. Provide bi-weekly plant Quality updates. Responsible for customer and internal audit corrective actions.

- Bachelor’s Degree or Above
- At least 5 years Quality function experience required, minimum of 3 in a managerial role
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
- Proven Lean Manufacturing required
- Working knowledge of SAP strongly preferred
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Demonstrated leadership amongst all levels of employees and across all functions
- Creative problem solver utilizing practical and logical thought processes.
- Self-motivated/driven and able to create enthusiasm for improvement initiatives
- Bilingual is preferred but not required
