In this position...
Perform Metallurgical testing of eMotor Stators. Testing includes:
+ Weld geometrical measurements and weld tensile strength
+ Welded Stator wires enamel coating integrity
+ Varnish fill evaluation and measurements
+ Epoxy coverage, thickness, and percent cure
+ Preparing test samples: hot and cold mounts polishing and etching
+ Imaging of test parts for measurements.
+ Evaluate weld and wire surface conditions for anomalies that differ from normal production.
What you'll do...
+ Utilize a strong understanding of metallurgical structure to perform analysis and interpretation of the test samples.
+ Usage of Keyence system (Digital Imaging and Measurements)
+ Manage the technical reporting on results of testing to the metallurgical engineer and management
+ Work any shift with flexibility regarding weekends and 4-Crew pattern work schedule
+ Maintain 5S standards in the lab
+ Check-In and Check-Out of UAW hourly lab employees
You'll have...
+ Bachelor of Science in Materials Sciences Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or other engineering degree.
Even better, you may have...
+ Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science or Metallurgy
+ Experienced in technical reporting
+ Experienced in digital microscope analysis
+ Tenure working in a manufacturing environment
+ Demonstrated strong communication and multi-tasking skills
+ One or more years of experience with MS Office
+ (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
