Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced quality professional to take on a leading role in achieving ISO 9001 certification, creating robust quality procedures, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement efforts. The Quality Project Manager will play a crucial part in ensuring that all organizational processes meet top standards of quality and compliance, contributing to company-wide goals and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- ISO 9001 Certification
- Lead the project to achieve ISO 9001 certification within 12 months.
- Develop and coordinate a comprehensive project plan, collaborating with all departments to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Prepare for and facilitate ISO 9001 certification audits, ensuring all documentation and processes meet certification requirements.
- Procedure Development and Documentation
- Write, review, and update quality procedures, work instructions, and policies to meet ISO 9001 standards.
- Ensure procedures are well-documented and accessible to all relevant personnel.
- Train employees on new and revised procedures, fostering understanding and compliance.
- Process Auditing
- Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with ISO 9001 and internal quality procedures.
- Develop audit schedules and checklists to ensure comprehensive evaluations.
- Document audit findings, identify areas for improvement, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify improvement opportunities based on audit findings and quality data analysis.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies for ongoing quality improvements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work with production, engineering, supply chain, and other departments to address quality issues and implement best practices.
- Support new product development by providing quality input during design reviews and testing phases.
- Lead cross-functional problem-solving sessions to address complex quality issues.
- Quality Management
- Analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement quality control plans and testing protocols for products and processes.
- Ensure all products meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards.
- Supplier Quality Management
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure supplier quality aligns with organizational standards.
- Conduct supplier audits and manage supplier quality performance.
- Implement procedures for supplier qualification and evaluation.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality or project management, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 standards and certification processes.
- Proficiency in quality control tools and statistical methods.
- Proven project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Background in supplier quality management, including supplier audits and performance evaluation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
