**POSITION OVERVIEW

**
Coordinate, implement, and direct the quality assurance program to ensure continuous production of products and services consistent with established standards.
**
**
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
**
Responsible for implementation and maintenance of the Fabrication division quality system and its documentation in accordance with ISO certification.
Act as the quality representative for the Company during all quality audits; accountable for maintaining ISO certification and other customer required certifications as needed.
Complete personally or assist others in the completion of all customer required quality documentation.
Establish, promote, and reinforce procedures for maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and safety.
Utilize quality system tools to report on the performance of the system and establish a basis for evaluating improvement of the system.
Formulate and maintain quality control objectives in conjunction with production procedures to maximize product reliability and minimize cost.
Direct workers engaged in inspection and testing activities related to product quality and reliability; measure parts and assemblies for conformity with specifications.
Plan, promote, organize, and lead training activities related to product quality.
Investigate and address customer complaints regarding quality including warranty claims.
Work with manufacturing and engineering on product and process improvement recommendations.
Visit vendors and/or customers as needed to address issues concerning quality.
Demonstrate, maintain, audit, and enforce safety standards for the organization as Safety Coordinator; assist in developing safety policy; train/counsel others as needed.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS
**

**
Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum 3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the Operations Manager; ability to read and interpret documents, manuals, drawings, procedures, or other instruction furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form; able to communicate orally and in written form; modify procedure manuals; capable of effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group situations; able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent; can draw and interpret bar graphs; can define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; fluent with standard measuring equipment such as tape, scale, micrometer, caliper, etc.; ability to operate a computer, calculator, and a variety of other general office equipment; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
