Fincantieri ACE Marine, a Fincantieri Marine Group company, currently has an opportunity for a Quality Technical Coordinator at the Green Bay, Wisconsin location.
Fincantieri ACE Marine is a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled aluminum construction facility. Purposely designed for assembly-line manufacturing of aluminum vessels, the facility uses innovative modular construction techniques and component manufacturing. Efficiencies in production are achieved by allowing modules to be pre-outfitted to a very high degree while internal compartments are still very accessible.

POSITION SUMMARY
Conducts Quality Assurance Weld Inspections to ensure product conformance to regulatory and contractual requirements. Conduct classroom and hands on training as pertains to welding workmanship and qualification. Ensures annual tool and weld machine calibration is completed Product Weld Verifications: VT, UT, PT, RT, & Air Wand testing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Maintains a commitment to the company vision and the "spirit" of the organization.
* Responsible for the conduct of "sea trials" and submittal of all test reports/documentation.
* Responsible to ensure that critical "control measurements" are taken and documented.
* Responsible for resolving Customer related quality issues.
* Responsible for timely and accurate submittals of quality documents, including test reports.
* Conducts QA Inspections to ensure product conformance to regulator and contractual requirements.
* Assists regulatory approval of welding Procedures, NDT tests, and product testing methods.
* Directly communicates with the customer and regulatory bodies any deficiencies and proposed corrective actions.
* Assists in the development of training programs for all FAM workers to ensure compliance to NAVSEA, ABS, USCG and other customer contract requirements.
* Responsible as part of the QA team for the collection and submittal of all test reports and contractual documentation.
* Perform Welder workmanship training and surveillance

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Position requires an Associate's degree from an accredited junior/technical college in a related field.
Requirements can be met with possession of a High School diploma plus 4-6 years of experience in the Quality field. Familiarity with Government and commercial inspection requirements and marine terminology is a plus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
