How Will You Make an Impact?:
The Quality Technician will work closely in a collaborative environment with all departments on a regular basis. They will primarily be responsible for the timely inspection of electrical and mechanical products and the subsequent recording of results. They will make independent inspection decisions from sophisticated drawings and documentation, inspection specifications, and verbal or written instructions.
A Day in the Life:
• Inspects parts against drawings/specifications.
• Uses various measuring techniques and equipment.
• Collaborates with Supplier Quality Engineers on the disposition of the Non-conforming materials.
• Set up and perform routine inspections using various gauges, machinery, and test equipment.
• Establishes product conformity using detailed inspection instructions.
• Documents and disseminates inspection results.
• Ensures all records and documentation are kept in accordance with procedures. Champion Good Documentation Practices.Works with Quality Engineering during continuous improvement efforts, especially those related to Quality Control and Quality assurance.
• Assists on first article inspections and reviews.
• Assists on collecting and reporting data
Experience:
• Required: Minimum of 1 year of Inspection experience
• Preferred: Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Knowledge and familiarity using Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems (inventory transactions).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
• Electronics manufacturing setting with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements including but not limited to safety glasses protection and closed toed footwear.
• Prolonged periods of sitting required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unaided.
