Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mid-Level Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our dynamic team in Atlanta, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in civil construction estimation and quantity surveying. This role involves analyzing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. As a key member of our construction services team, you will collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver accurate financial reporting and support effective decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates for various civil construction projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide budgetary advice throughout the project lifecycle.
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and proposals to develop accurate quantity take-offs.
- Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to gather necessary data for estimating purposes.
- Monitor project costs and prepare reports to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
- Assist in value engineering and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.
- Maintain organized documentation of all estimations, revisions, and vendor communications.
- Provide support during bid preparation and submission processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying and estimating within the civil construction industry.
- Proficient in estimating software and tools, with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing project requirements.
