Description:
We have an exciting opportunity in our estimating department for a Quoting Technician. In this role, you will prepare quotations based on customer blueprints and/or samples using established procedures. Responsibilities include creating bills of material, routing information, and approving final sample parts. Most quotes will be prepared in Excel using pivot tables and lookup tables. This fast-paced role requires flexibility and the ability to manage the process from start to finish.
Job Duties:
- Prepare quotes, including labor steps and identifying materials needed for manufacturing parts.
- Communicate directly with customers to obtain necessary specifications for quotes.
- Communicate with vendors to receive raw material quotes.
- Collaborate with production staff to ensure all necessary tooling and materials are available before production starts.
- Prepare the Bill of Material for production flow and continuously update material and labor time.
- Prepare Detailed Assembly Instructions for use in the production process.
- Inspect and approve all sample parts from the production floor.
Required:
- Strong Excel skills, including the ability to create and use Excel Pivot Tables and Lookup Tables
- Strong Customer Service Skills
- Strong Communication skills
Preferred:
- Ability to read blueprints
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Term: 6 Months Temp to Direct
