Job Title: R&D Molecular Scientist
Location: Onsite - San Diego

Salary Range: $70,000 - $100,000

Job Responsibilities:

• Designs and performs sophisticated, technically challenging experiments, efficiently and independently.
• Generates effective hypotheses to pursue Project goals and set new experimental directions.
• Makes substantive conceptual contributions to Project activities and scientific strategies.
• Develops novel and creative solutions to overcome Project goal obstacles.
• Identifies broad implications to findings, which transcend the immediate experiment.
• Take on a unique opportunity to assume a managerial position in developing the company's product roadmap in the area of molecular technical expertise.
• Showcase a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product marketing within the IVD industry.

Requirements

1. Minimum of a Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field. PhD preferred.
2. Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques, with a focus on assay development in the IVD industry.
3. Strong expertise in molecular diagnostic assay design, optimization, and validation, with proficiency in nucleic acid extraction, PCR/qPCR, sequencing, and other molecular techniques.
4. Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., FDA, ISO) and knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and quality standards for IVD products.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to design and execute complex experiments, analyze data, and draw meaningful conclusions.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
7. Proven track record of leading successful projects, delivering results on time and within budget, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
