Salary Range: $26.90-$33.23 per hour plus an annual bonus
Location: Ada, MI (onsite)
What We’re Looking For:
Amway is seeking an R&D Technician II to join our Biology and Skin Science team within the Amway Innovation & Science division. This team, located at our Ada, Michigan headquarters, provides a broad range of biological and forensic investigation-related technical services and expertise, supporting Amway’s global Innovation, Quality, and Supply Chain functions.
You will receive training on multiple different techniques within the lab and will keep up to date with the latest technology in the field. You will collaborate with the Chemistry Sciences and Biology & Imaging groups within Amway.
Required qualifications:
- Associates or BS degree in Chemistry, Biology, Life sciences or related field with 1-2 years of relevant experience for a BS holder, or 2-4 years of relevant experience for a person with an Associate’s degree
- Experience performing PCR and similar molecular applications
- Demonstrated ability to follow SOPs/test methods and reporting data
- Experience conducting experiments as directed by scientists
Skills to be successful in the role:
- GLP biology laboratory experience preferred
- Attention to detail to follow test procedures, standard operating procedures, and safety requirements
- Document work, keeping accurate records and data analysis
- Excellent oral and written communication skill
- Ability to prioritize and complete work efficiently while meeting high quality standards
- Flexible team player, self-motivated, ability to be adaptable and to work independently and as part of a team.
