General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.): BLS, Wa State Dept Health License for Radiology
Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements: Radiology - CT (Computed Tomography)
How many scanners/rooms does this department have? 2- Client and Toshiba
Will they have to float/cover any other areas? Yes, If the Client machine goes down, the traveler will need to know
how to use a Toshiba scanner.
Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: CTA, Body, Neuro.
Experience or 'Must have' skills: At least 1 year of CT experience. Knowledge of ER type scans
Average # of scans/studies per day 30 in a 12 hour shift
EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use: Mckesson and Epic
Department Specific Equipment (Client, Phillips, Siemens): Client and Toshiba
Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech David Huynh
Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)? No
Radiologist in-house? During the Day but not evening or weekend
Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department) Mainly ED patients come with IV's but tech should know how to start and trouble shoot non-working IV's
Shifts & Scheduling Friday through Sunday 7p-7a; Graveyard shift
