About the Job
Join our team in beautiful Indiana and become a part of our dedicated healthcare community. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will operate diagnostic imaging equipment and perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with department policy and procedures. You will work within the "Standards of Ethics" of the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the "Clinical Practice Standards" established by the American Society of Radiologic Technologist (ASRT).
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians to perform a variety of specialized procedures.
- Set up and adjust equipment to perform diagnostic procedures.
- Position patients to obtain images of the area of interest, respecting the patient's ability and comfort.
- Obtain appropriate patient information for the procedure being completed.
- Provide radiation protection to the patient, technologist, and anyone else in the area, utilizing PPE and other guidelines as needed.
- Recognize emergent situations and activate assistance as needed.
- Assist other areas and shifts as needed.
- Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Encourage advanced certification if applicable).
- Technologists can work with a student permit granted by the Indiana State Board of Health for six months post-graduation from a radiology school/program, at which time they must have obtained a valid technologist Indiana State Board of Health license.
- CPR certification required.
- Previous experience preferred, but not required, or previous experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of imaging various anatomical structures.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., 100 lbs. shared lifting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of general computer skills and applications.
- Ability to take call.
- Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range along with shift differentials for weekends, evenings, and nights. Parkview provides healthcare coverage to eligible coworkers with a 0.6 FTE or greater, starting the first of the month following the start date. Benefit enrollments are due within 31 days of hire date.
