GENERAL SUMMARY/BASIC PURPOSE OF JOB:  To provide safe quality patient care on a timely basis  Provides excellent communication to patients in order to acquire images and radiation treatment in an efficient professional manner  Provides quality Radiation Therapy treatments and imaging utilizing appropriate protocols, reproducible setups, quality plans and patient cooperation for treatment purposes, as directed by the radiation oncologist  Perform Quality Assurance, prepare and operate CT and treatment equipment and is able to position patients correctly and effectively, record the requested setup and document  Provide a safe environment by screening all patients, family members and personnel entering the radiation therapy unit  Provides radiation safety screening and education to the patients, patient's family and caregivers  Fulfills all obligations in establishing American College of Radiology Oncology Radiation Therapy (ACRO) Accreditation

JOB REQUIREMENTS: MINIMUM EDUCATION:  An Associate's degree from an American Medical Association approved course in Radiologic Technology MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:  6 months experience as a Radiation Therapy Technologist KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:  Excellent customer service and communication skills  Knowledge of Radiation Therapy quality per American College of Radiology Oncology standards  REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:  ARRT IN RADIOLOGY AND RADIATION THERAPY  CPR
