Responsibilities
- The Radiation Therapist administers ionizing radiation treatments to cancer patients under the general supervision of the Radiation Oncologist and Radiation Physicist.
- Demonstrate knowledge of simulation procedure and be willing to rotate on all equipment.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the radiation therapy plan prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
- Accurately localize the treatment field and assure reproducibility.
- Schedule new patients for radiation therapy treatments.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Technical or Associate’s radiography degree
- Must be registered or registry eligible with the ARRT
- If registry eligible, must become registered within 60 days of hire
- Advanced certification in Radiation Therapy within 60 days of hire
- Basic Life Support certification
Preferred Job Requirements:
- One year of Radiation Therapy experience
