Position Overview: We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Radiation Therapist to join their Radiation Oncology team. This role is essential in delivering safe and effective ionizing radiation treatments for neoplastic diseases, under the guidance of a Radiation Oncologist. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in operating radiation equipment, performing quality assurance checks, and documenting patient treatment and positioning information.
Key Responsibilities:
Radiation Therapy Delivery: Safely operate ionizing radiation equipment for treating neoplastic diseases or other therapeutic purposes in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist's instructions.
Procedure Execution: Perform high-quality radiation therapy procedures following established protocols, ensuring timely and accurate treatment.
Quality Assurance: Conduct daily quality assurance (QA) checks on linear accelerators and CT simulators.
Documentation: Use hospital and Radiation Oncology EMR systems to record treatment delivery and document patient positioning.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an approved program in Radiation Therapy.
Certification & Licensure:
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- Licensed by the state of New Mexico or eligible for licensure.
- CPR certification is required.
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
Technical Skills:
- Knowledgeable in the operation and safety standards for radiation-producing equipment.
- Ability to handle radiation sources with precision and care.

Interview Process:
- Initial interview with the Hiring Manager.
- Teams/video interview with the Hiring Manager, Manager, and Radiation Team.
- On-site interview.
