Role Overview

Under the direction of the Department Manager and supervision of the Lead Radiation Therapist, the Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering therapeutic radiation treatments. This role involves performing procedures to set up, plan, and verify the accuracy of treatment delivery using modern radiotherapy techniques, adhering to department standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic radiation treatments.
• Perform procedures to set up, plan, and verify treatment accuracy.
• Utilize all modern radiotherapy techniques in accordance with department standards.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of formal therapeutic radiologic technology training from an accredited school.
• National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire.
• State-specific Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialized training in diametric techniques and physics of treatment planning.
