Description
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Level II Radiography Testing Inspectors for projects located in the Newport News, VA area. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate up to $36/hour based on experience plus $120/day per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job-site. Job Scope:
- Conduct RT inspections on piping, casting, and structural welds
- Utilize x-ray and gamma radiography techniques
- Perform and document inspections; the calibration and operation of radiography equipment
- Navigate and perform tasks in various environments; climbing, crawling, and confined spaces
Requirements
- Certified Level II ASNT SNT-TC-1A (2001 Edition or later)
- Passed and documented certification of IRRSP from an approved entity
- Demonstrated ability to pass written general theory, procedure-specific, and practical examinations for RT inspection
- Recent visual acuity exam with Jaeger 1 letters at no less than 12 inches within the last year
- Certification documentation for the current and preceding 3-year period, including training, experience records, examination results, and vision tests
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort with climbing ladders, working at heights, and crawling in tanks and confined spaces
