Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) Invasive Cardiovascular Tech is a professional who contributes their services to: patient care, patient and staff education, emotional support and education of families and the community in accordance in accordance with the standards, policies, and practices of client.
The Invasive Cardiovascular Tech directly assists the physician with all Cardiac Catheterization procedures, prioritizes patient needs, coordinates patient care, and collaborates with other members of the patient care team to provide care in accordance with the medical plan of care.
Works as part of an ON CALL TEAM with other Technologist and nurses to provide coverage for STEMI and other emergency and urgent cath.

Education / Training / Experience:
Desired:
Previous experience as an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist
Licenses / Certifications:
Minimum:
Current ARRT certification
Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the Department of Health Services, State of
California (CRT)
Current Fluoroscopy permit
Current CPR recognition
IABP Certification within six months of employment (tracked by dept)
Desired:
CI certification (through ARRT) or CCI registry
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
Must demonstrate technical competence, professional judgment, professional communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis.
