• Department: Interventional Radiology/Vascular lab 
• Schedule: M - F 7am - 730pm (3 12 hour shifts) On-call rotation required to cover nights, weekends, and holidays. Required 30-minute response time to the hospital.
• Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent Hospital 
• Location: Indianapolis, IN

Ascension St. Vincent Hospital is a Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma facility.  Offering 24 hour emergent treatment for Myocardial Infarction (STEMIs), STROKEs, and Trauma’s. The Indianapolis campus has 14 procedural labs, 3 cardiac catheterization, 4 electrophysiology, 1 neuro suite, and 4 vascular/body labs.  We are in the process of expanding to our new Brain and Spine Hospital which will include 2 state of the art  neuro suites. We are accepting Radiologic Technologists applicants with experience and new graduates.

Responsibilities

Assist with procedures and provide diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.

• Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity. Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Able to perform all specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures, along with assisting the Radiologist/PA.
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.  American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
