POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Manager of CT, assists the radiologists, technologists and nurses in technical and patient care duties. Maintains supplies and keeps exam rooms prepared and ready for patients. Assists patients prior to procedures. Handles reception and clerical duties as required. Duties may also be required in other areas as necessary.

EDUCATION:
Requires a high school level of knowledge in reading and writing (in English) and arithmetic in order to understand written and oral instructions, and deal effectively with people.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Requires a high school level of knowledge in reading and writing (in English) and arithmetic in order to understand written and oral instructions, and deal effectively with people.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Requires knowledge of work routines, procedures, materials and equipment in order to prepare rooms for x-ray procedures, perform sterilization duties and stock rooms with supplies.
- Such knowledge is normally acquired during one to three months of on-the-job training.
- Requires minimal analytical ability.
- Requires interpersonal skills and communications skills in order to provide information, reassurance and support to patients in somewhat difficult situations.
- Preference given to those individuals who have successfully completed medical terminology and basic patient care courses.
