APN Healthcare Solutions is urgently hiring multiple Radiology Tech for our client in Pontiac, MI for a 13 week contract with a high possibility of extension.

Position Title: Radiology Tech

Pay Rate: $52/Hourly

Work Location: Pontiac, MI

Shift: Days (7a-3:30p)

Hours/day: 8 Hours

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Licenses Requirement: AART

Certification Requirement: BLS from AHA

Job Description:

• The Radiology Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, ensuring high-quality images while providing compassionate patient care. This role involves preparing patients for procedures, operating imaging equipment, and working closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.

  Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:

  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and addressing any concerns.
  • Position patients correctly to obtain accurate images while ensuring their safety and comfort.

• Imaging Procedures:

  • Operate radiology equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Perform various radiologic procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and mammography, following established protocols.
  • Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of imaging equipment.

• Image Quality and Safety:

  • Review and evaluate developed X-rays, video tape, or computer-generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
  • Apply knowledge of radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.

• Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate interpretation of images.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other medical staff.

• Compliance and Continuous Improvement:

  • Adhere to all regulatory standards and guidelines, including those set by HIPAA, OSHA, and other relevant bodies.
  • Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
