Job Title: Radiology Technician
Location: Fallbrook, and Escondido (Travel required between locations)
Salary Range: $32.00 - $46.00
Job Summary:
We are seeking a full-scope Radiology Technician to join our collaborative outpatient radiology department. The ideal candidate will have experience working with X-ray equipment, ensuring high-quality imaging, maintaining safety protocols, and providing exceptional patient care. The Radiology Technician will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent care in a fast-paced environment, requiring flexibility in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment in compliance with established safety and quality standards.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and obtaining necessary medical history.
- Maintain, calibrate, and ensure the proper functioning of imaging equipment.
- Implement safety protocols to protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of diagnostic images.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information.
- Travel between Fallbrook and Escondido locations as required.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and Monday-Friday shifts.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Licensure/Certification:
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification (preferred)
- Valid California state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Experience operating X-ray equipment and familiarity with radiographic techniques.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for patient interaction and teamwork in a collaborative setting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a high standard of image quality.
