Radiology Tech - Ankeny Pediatrics
Ankeny, Iowa (Oralabor Road Location)
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
**$5,000.00 Sign-on Bonus for external candidates.
Responsibilities:We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our pediatric clinic. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing diagnostic imaging procedures and will also assist with laboratory duties. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children and their families.
Clinical Imaging:
Accurately perform diagnostic exams of patient as requested by provider using proper imaging techniques.
Provide proper education of procedure to patients, their family, and others as needed.
Employ proper radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
Practice sterile techniques and prevent cross-contamination to patients.
Perform quality control activities on imaging equipment to ensure optimum image quality.
Verify that an annual and successful inspection is performed by a Radiation Physicist.
Lab & Rooming:
Perform phlebotomy duties and process/package specimens according to protocols.
Collect and prepare specimens for point of care testing.
Record and document laboratory results for each performed test. Retain records for the required length of time in a secure location.
Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment and work area according to policy and procedure.
Perform quality controls within laboratory using standard laboratory test and measurement controls.
Provide professional clinical services for patients following established practice standards and clinical protocols.
Room patients and obtain vital signs.
Assist provider with patient examination, treatment and minor surgical procedures.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology. Must pass ARRT examination/registration in striving for self-improvement within twelve months of employment if a new grad.
Must have a current Iowa permit to practice.
Current ARRT registration and must maintain ARRT registration.
- High school diploma.
- BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.
